Agree with this Shabba and he’s been almost too fearless for his own good at times, shades of Bryan Robson. I spoke to JP once about him and he described him as really brave. If JP says you are brave, then that will do for me.
The big IF and unknown is his long term fitness and potential to keep playing SL for many years. I remember it looked like Johnny Lomax would never get injury free but he’s now had a great career. Not saying he is that good.
We let Golding leave in large part because him and Walker were battling it out for the FB spot.
He wants to play at FB, not in the halves, he’d have to develop parts of his game but longer term there is potential and given we have Myler and Zak , you can’t keep 3.
It could be one that looks like a mistake in 2 years time. Whether it does not will probably depend on if he can avoid further injuries.
Good post, looked great when he first broke through, but had such bad luck with injuries, I know a bit has been spoek about his passing, but thought it looked good on Sunday, gave some good passes out, certainly an improvement on Shaul.
Next year we have also signed Tex Hoy from Newcastle Knights, who is a fullback or stand off, so if Walker stays we will have Walker, Hoy, Connor and Truman fighting for those pivot positions, big improvements on Reynolds and Gale.
If I was Hull, I'd see how he goes the next 3 or so games before making a decision.
