THEY’RE one of the best ways for kids to cool down in the heat.
But as she didn’t have a back garden to put a paddling pool in, Jackie Bielby decided to put one out of the front of her council house – for all the kids on her estate to use.
Jackie posted a video on TikTok of the unique set-up, and insisted she doesn’t care if people call her a “chav”.
“This is what you call a council estate pool,” she said.
“When you have it on the front, for all the kids.”
In the video, a 6ft rigid-sided pool was seen on the porch area of the house, next to a glass-topped outdoor table.

Over the top of the clip, she wrote: “Chavs” alongside the emoji of a monkey covering its eyes.
Response to her video was largely mixed in the comments section, with some people pulling no punches as they slammed the set-up.
“Looks like a slum,” one wrote.
While another added: “You not going to thank the taxpayers for buying it?”
“Council estate pool, na that’s everyone filling the bins up with water and sitting in the road in em,” a third commented.
But others praised Jackie for taking it upon herself to provide a pool for the council estate kids to play in.
“I still do it if I put a pool out all kids are welcome not everyone can afford a pool it’s called sharing,” one wrote.
While another added: “All the kids will have lots of fond memories of summers spent together.”
