Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham want to open talks with Harry Kane about a potential new contract ‘soon’.
The journalist took to Twitter to deny reports that Bayern Munich are looking at the Spurs striker as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Kicker reported that Bayern Munich realise a Kane transfer would be near-impossible this summer, but were keeping an eye on him, which was also reported by Alfredo Pedulla in June.
However, Christian Falk from SportBILD denied any idea that Kane was a topic of conversation for the Bundesliga giants this summer, which Romano has now echoed.
Fabrizio tweeted that Tottenham consider Harry Kane to be untouchable and there are no talks about the striker within Bayern.
He also added that Spurs want to discuss a possible new deal with their academy graduate in the near future, which will be music to the ears of the Tottenham faithful.
There’s no discussion, negotiation or talk about Harry Kane. Tottenham always considered him untouchable and there’s nothing concrete going on with Bayern. #THFC

Spurs Web Opinion:
I would not be surprised at all to see Harry sign a new contract in the next few months. He will likely take a look at what Spurs do in the rest of the transfer window before making a decision. With Man City’s number 9 role now filled by Haaland, he may well choose a ‘one-club man’ career instead.
