Hosts Israel and defending champions Spain maintained their 100% winning records on day four of the LEN 2022 Women’s U19 European Water Polo Championships.
Israel defeated Türkiye 22-3 with their top tournament scorer Dar Menakerman hitting another four to take her personal tally to 13 in Netanya.
Spain, who have finished on the podium in four of the last five editions of the tournament, beat Romania 19-4 with Claudia Morena Perez top-scoring with four.
The teams will go head-to-head for the honour of topping Group A in what will be the last preliminary round match for both teams on Friday.
The winner will qualify directly for the quarterfinals with the loser facing a play-off against one of the other second placed group finishers.
That will be one of eight fixtures on the final day of preliminary group games at the event, with France (Group B), Hungary (Group C) and the Netherlands (Group D) all looking to make it three wins from three in their respective fixtures.
Türkiye (Group A), Slovakia (Group B) and Great Britain (Group C) are all seeking their first points of the tournament after successive defeats.
