Incident in the Club Shop (9 replies)

I popped into the Club Shop on my way home from work today. After a few minutes of browsing, I saw the security guard stopping a man - pot-bellied and in his 50s - from exiting the store (by the doors newest to the checkout). Apparently, this is the third-consecutive day that his moron has been into the shop; yesterday, 3 masked men (including him, I was told), stormed in and stole 2 rails of clothing.

Well, the security guard was determined to stop this bloke- and he did exactly that. Most of the melee happened in the small section between the 2 pairs of doors but boy was it a fight. The offender was swearing and trying to get away, holding the security guy by the scruff of his collar. The security guy had to keep slamming the bloke against the glass, whilst ordering him to sit down. The thief was continually threatening the security guy, telling that he would “smash his face in” (he was definitely losing the fight).

The staff were just staring so I said, “err…I’ll call the police then…”. Which I did. Eventually, some builders perked their van right outside the doors so that the thief could not escape; between them and the security guy, they got the him sitting down…he was knackered- no way he’s fit enough to keep going after that!

The security guy did a brilliant job. He also phoned the police (not knowing thst I had) abs I heard him say that a blade has been pulled at one point. Not nice to see. A few kids were in there and they hid in the dressing room.

I had only gone in to get me a lunch bag…and they had sold out of them!!
