I’m a mom – my simple tip will help you win over even the rudest mother-in-law
WE’VE all heard horror stories about nosey, rude, and overly obsessive mother-in-laws.
Although we may love our spouses, sometimes their moms just make our lives so difficult.
A woman named Deanna Alnazer, who goes by @deannaalnazer on TikTok, often posts videos of her own mother offering useful tidbits of advice for women.
She recently dropped some wisdom for those dealing with a menacing mother-in-law.
“First of all, don’t ever say your mother-in-law is crazy. Don’t ever say that,” the mom warned.
“Second of all, if you end up with a mother-in-law that is, let’s say difficult, the best thing is: Always compliment her.”

She said to offer her help with things around the house, say nice things to her, and just “kill her with kindness.”
To this, her daughter probed some more:
“And what if she just keeps going at it with you?”
Her mom, however, insisted that that wouldn’t happen: “Trust me, she’s going to cave in. Just always say things like, ‘What can I do for you?’”

The daughter then asked: “Is it best to bite your tongue?”
Although many of us are not the best at holding back, especially after we’ve been insulted, the mom said to practice patience: “Sometimes you have to.”
The mom’s parting words, offered with a big laugh, were perhaps the best: “And just remember, she’s not going to live too long!”
