Round Pond, Maine. It was the first port of call on my first downeast cruise from Boston in 1970. Many happy memories from subsequent stops as we traversed Muscongus Bay. Now right across the peninsula from our home in South Bristol. Our favorite place to have lobster on the dock remains Muscongus Bay Lobster.

This is our quiet little Round Pond Harbor that some of us are lucky enough to call our homeport. A nice mix of fishing and pleasure boats, and welcoming to cruisers as well. with moorings available from Padebco. Come ashore for lobster on the docks, ice cream, penny candy, and a shop full of gifts at the Granite Hall Store, a good cup of coffee at Round Pond Coffee, or the essentials at the King Ro Market. Welcome!

Round Pond, Maine
The mystery harbor for May is Round Pond off of Muscongus Sound on the Pemaquid peninsula. Lobster pounds on the docks and just up the road a sweet little village welcomes visitors to explore the shops. Louds Island beyond and Muscongus Bay to the eastward offer so many wonderful daysailing opportunities.
