Spurs-linked wing-back admits he dreams of playing in the Premier League
Besiktas starlet Ridvan Yilmaz, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, has admitted that he dreams of playing in the Premier League one day.
Spurs are expected to be in the market for a left wing-back this summer, with previous reports indicating that Antonio Conte is not convinced by Sergio Reguilon (Football Insider).
Turkiye Gazetesi reported last month that the Lilywhites have pushed ahead with a move for Yilmaz, who has progressed steadily since breaking into the Besiktas first team in 2019.
The report claimed that Tottenham had launched an offer of around €8m (£6.7m) for the 20-year-old, who has three goals and four assists in 25 league appearances so far this campaign (Transfermakrt).
However, the publication claimed that Besiktas were holding out for a fee close to €10m (£8.4m) for the youngster.
Yilmaz has now stated that while he remains committed to Besiktas, he harbours hopes of playing in England in the future.
When asked if he pays attention to the speculation regarding his future, the Turkish international told Hurriyet: “My home is Besiktas. I act in the best interests of my club. I hear many offers through my manager, but I’m not interested.
“I want to be permanent in Beşiktaş but if I am in a position to make money for my club like Cenk Tosun in the past, I will not resist.
“I represent the Turkish football player in the best way in Europe. Of course, every player has a goal. Playing in England is my biggest dream. Why not one day?”

Just as Pape Sarre and Bryan Gil last season, Yilmaz appears like a typical Paratici singing, the Spurs managing director seemingly fond of taking punts on up and coming young talent.
However, it was reported recently (The Athletic) that Spurs are likely to spend their entire transfer budget on players for the first team this summer to appease Conte.
So, that would rule out a potential move for Yilmaz. The club are likely to go for a left wing-back who Conte feels can immediately strengthen our starting eleven.
