Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a THIRD of Man Utd’s Premier League goals – but is he the most important star of any team?
CRISTIANO RONALDO has shown how reliant Manchester United are on him by scoring 32 per cent of their Premier League goals so far this season.
Which goes some way to answering the question: Where would United be without Ronaldo?
The 37-year-old has scored the joint-second highest proportion of his team’s goals this season in the entire Premier League.
Ronaldo has bagged 18 Prem goals in in 29 outings this term and barely any of his team-mates come close.
United’s next top scorer is Bruno Fernandes, who has managed 10 in 34 games.
Only Norwich striker Teemu Pukki has scored a higher percentage of his side’s Prem goals this season.

The Finn has netted 10 of the Canaries’ 22 goals this term – putting him at 45 per cent.
Josh Sargent is the bottom side’s next top scorer with just two… that both came in the same game.
Also on 32 per cent is Tottenham‘s Son Heung-min – impressive for a player whose team has Harry Kane it.
The South Korean star has scored 19 of Spurs’ 59 goals, with Kane having bagged 13.

Emmanuel Dennis has 10 of Watford’s 32 goals, putting him at 31 per cent.
While Ivan Toney has 12 of Brentford’s 41, a sum that makes up 29 per cent.
Wilfried Zaha has had a sneakily good season with Crystal Palace, scoring 12 of their 45 goals at 27 per cent.
Mo Salah and Raphinha have both scored 26 per cent of their respective team’s goals – although have bagged very different tallies.
The Egyptian has 22 of his title-chasing Liverpool team’s 86 goals, while the Brazilian has 10 of Leeds’ 38.
Further down the list Jamie Vardy has still managed 21 per cent of Leicester’s goals – despite being ruled out of 11 of their matches with injury.

It’s been a spread out effort by leaders Manchester City, meanwhile, with their joint top-scorers having only netted 13 per cent of their goals.
Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez have both managed to score 11 apiece.
