With a Game 1 victory in the books, LA coach Todd McLellan has already turned the page. Nobody wins a playoff series in the first game, so it’s all about Game 2 for now and that’s coming up later tonight in Edmonton.
On Monday, several Kings put up some impressive underlying stats that supported the old ‘eye test’ of watching the game live:
From all indications, Viktor Arvidsson will miss Game 2, so McLellan is expected to use the same lineup again.

Adrian Kempe had the highest game score in the EDM-LA game and a lot of it was through having zone entries leading to scoring chances. Only a couple direct plays but he had some good cycle chances with Kopitar & Athanasiou off carry-ins too. pic.twitter.com/0HsyEziSNq

In an interesting trivia note regarding this date in Kings Playoff History, there have been two impressive 1-0 shutouts. Could history be on their side again tonight?
