Dollar Tree‘s toy goldmine was shared on TikTok by a woman who claims the secret is only known to employees.

The woman advises shoppers to check out their Hot Wheels selection, claiming lucky shoppers often find super rare toy cars.

“Check out their Hot Wheels. They’re [Dollar Tree] known for having rare and expensive Hot Wheels,” the woman explains.

In fact, the Holy Grail of Hot Wheels collectibles is valued at a whopping $150,000.

Released in 1969, the Pink Rear Loading Beach Bomb Hot Wheels model sits among the rarest of the toy car line.

Only two of the models were made after manufacturers realized the surfboard sticking out of the back threw them off balance.

While other colors were produced, the pink one was the rarest of the bunch.

Meanwhile, the 1971 Purple Olds 442 can fetch you around $12,000.

DOLLAR TREE ITEMS TO STAY AWAY FROM

However, according to YouTuber Bargain Bethany, there are some things customers should stay away from.

In her video post, she says since the retail giant increased the price of its products from $1 to $1.25 last November, she’s been discouraged from buying brand-name non-perishable goods there.

That includes things like cereals and canned vegetables, claiming Dollar Tree cereals tend to come in 3-ounce bags, and with the 25-cent increase, “you’re paying more per ounce.”

She also says, “I can go to Walgreens and get 11 ounces or $1.99, or I can go to Target and get a family-size that has 15 ounces and pay $3.59.”

Non-competitive prices aren’t the only reason to stay away from certain things in the store.

Customers should also avoid purchasing anything with a plug based on a recall last month by the chain of more than a million Crafter’s Square hot glue guns.
