Three people shot early Saturday in Oakland
OAKLAND — Three people were wounded in two Oakland shootings less than an hour apart early Saturday including a man shot twice during a robbery in the Pill Hill area, authorities said.
All of the victims were in stable condition. The shootings do not appear to be related at this time, authorities said.
The robbery-shooting happened about 3:12 a.m. Saturday in the 2900 block of Telegraph Avenue.
Police said a 38-year-old man was confronted on the street by several suspects who took his wallet before one of them shot him in the abdomen and leg.
The suspects fled in a vehicle before police got to the scene and the man was taken to a hospital.
About 2:30 a.m. a 29-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were shot in the area of Adeline Street and West Grand Avenue in West Oakland.
Authorities said the two were in a vehicle stopped at a traffic light when another vehicle pulled alongside them and someone inside that vehicle began shooting at them.
The man, who was driving, and the woman both suffered arm wounds.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money in the double shooting and up to $7,500 in the other shooting for information leading to the arrests of the suspects.
