The couple's relationship was featured on the new Netflix reality show after Colby gave Madlyn an ultimatum after a year and a half of dating to get married or break up. At the beginning of the experience, Madlyn found castmate Randall Griffin attractive and after getting to know each other, the two lived together for three weeks during the trial marriage period.
Though her connection with Randall was strong, Madlyn was missing the physical aspect of the relationship. Madlyn's relationship with Colby was further tested when they reunited, as Madlyn had had an issue with Colby having relations with someone outside of the experience. Eventually, the two were able to resolve their issues, and not only did they get engaged, they got married on the same day. But Madlyn's decision to fully commit to Colby was only made the night before.
When Madlyn revealed she was seven months pregnant, fans began to question whether the star became pregnant while the show was being filmed, as filming only ended six months ago. Some viewers even questioned the paternity of Madlyn's baby, speculating that her castmate Randall could be the father. However, Madlyn recently revealed more details about her pregnancy on Instagram. She said that she got married to Colby on May 13, 2021, and they conceived their first child after they tied the knot. "The show ended in May. And I got pregnant in August," the couple confirmed in an interview with E! News.
Despite claims and rumors about the pregnancy, Madlyn and Colby's marriage is going strong and their time together has brought them happiness. Fans of The Ultimatum have been questioning whether Madlyn was going to change her last name to Kissinger on her social media. Madlyn addressed the question in her Instagram stories and explained she has contacted Instagram support to have her name changed, which will take a while. She revealed that she remained Ballatori until now so that she would not have spoiled the show for viewers. In a since-deleted Instagram story, Madlyn also mentioned that she may not show her baby's face for a while because though she has fans that support her, several negative comments come her way and she is looking to protect her baby from that.
Madlyn and Colby will be having a baby girl and the current date set for her delivery is May 2, 2022. The couple continues to count down the days until they can begin parenting what they are calling their perfect child. Wildly-popular series The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On has already been renewed for season 2, which is set to premiere sometime in 2023.
