Abortionist Admits She Refused to Attend Any Lectures on Ethics in Med School
Jennifer Gunter is an author, podcaster, and physician who “trained to do abortions almost as late as they can go.” She recently boasted on Twitter that she had skipped her medical ethics classes. Why? The professor was pro-life.
Gunter attended the University of Manitoba School of Medicine and is licensed in California. My research did not reveal any specific requirement for California doctors to complete ethics courses. However, the Medical Board of California does require applicants to provide an official medical school transcript.
So either: (1) the University of Manitoba School of Medicine allowed Gunter to pass her ethics class despite lack of attendance, or (2) California saw a zero on her transcript and licensed her anyway. Neither possibility is encouraging for women seeking reputable healthcare. Meanwhile, pro-abortion states are pushing standards even lower in the name of “access.”
The best way the pro-life, pro-woman movement can fight back? Encourage the bright pro-life young people in our lives to consider careers in medicine!
“Pro-choice ideology has deeply infiltrated higher education curricula, particularly that of medical schools,” said Gavin Oxley, who leads the Future Medical Professionals for Life of America chapter at the University of Virginia. “Pro-life students are often discouraged from becoming doctors and nurses and told their beliefs have no place in the field. But our movement can do better by encouraging and empowering these bright, pro-life students to bring the truth of abortion into the medical field, despite opposition, and restore the Hippocratic Oath.”
