Lisa Vanderpump from Vanderpump Rules suffered a terrible fall while riding her horse in January, and she was recently spotted wearing high heels for the first time since the accident. Lisa, who is an avid equestrian, was riding a horse when it got spooked and threw her off. She reportedly flew over the horse’s head and landed on her back. Lisa suffered four fractures in her leg and had to undergo surgery, but she assured fans that she was on the mend and would be soon back on the saddle.
Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd, was there at the time of the accident and later said that he didn’t want her riding ever again. Ken shared that Lisa’s horse, Prince Tardon, is very gentle, but something spooked him, and even the best riders never know when that will happen. Lisa, who is a strong advocate of animal rights, shared a photo of herself with her horse a month after the accident and reported that Prince Tardon was doing well.
The Vanderpump Rules star was seen at her restaurant SUR wearing blue pumps and told Page Six, “This is actually my first time out in heels.” Lisa joked, “My doctor said, ‘I’m used to getting my patients out on the field, playing basketball or football. But for you, it’s the heels! That’s the most important thing!’” With her right ankle still wrapped in medical tape, Lisa shared that she had just started walking again. Along with her fractured leg, Lisa suffered a badly bruised back, which she was worried she had broken at the time of the accident.
Ken was also seen with Lisa during her first night out in heels, along with their dog Puffy. He also shares her love for animals and was rarely seen without one of their many dogs during her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Fans remember Ken as being very protective of Lisa, particularly when he felt the other housewives were ganging up on her. During the infamous “Puppygate,” when Lisa’s longtime friend and fellow RHOBH cast member Kyle Richards accused her of lying, Ken threw her out of their house with his famous line, “Goodbye, Kyle!” Lisa also told Page Six that she would "never go back" since it's a "hot mess that I could do without."
The reality TV star quit RHOBH during season 9 after being villainized over Puppygate. Lisa mentioned that she thinks it was the producers who leaked the story to the tabloids and threw her under the bus. Now we know she has no plans to ever return to the Bravo series after everything that occurred. Vanderpump Rules fans will be happy to see that Lisa is well on her way to recovery after the accident, and even though she may never ride again, at least she is happy in her heels.
