Vice President Kamala Harris plays Wordle every single day, and she just revealed her starting word.
If you don’t know, Wordle is a game that allows users to guess a five-letter word every single day. You get six-guesses to guess the chosen word. A green letter means you have the letter in the right place. A yellow letter means that letter is in the word, but in the wrong spot. A gray letter means the letter is not used in today’s word.
The game grew in popularity at the beginning of 2022 and was recently bought by the New York Times. Many Wordle users use the exact same word every time based on how many vowels or consonants might be present. A popular starting word is “ADIEU,” but this is not the VP’s choice!

The Ringer asked the VP what word she starts with and she replied, “Notes. N-O-T-E-S.”
She added about the choice, “I think that you have to have a healthy mix of consonants and vowels, and a lot of words come with an S. For example, today there was an S and an E, I believe.” When this interview was conducted, the word of the day was “SHAME.”
She also revealed her streak got messed up when the Wordle sale took place, responding, “You know what, it got messed up when it got moved over to The New York Times. But my current streak is 48.”
She also said she normally guesses the word within four guesses, but “I’ve had six on the second word.”
