Deadpool has 'died' some of the most brutal deaths in comics, but his death at the hands of an elephant might be too dark for the MCU.
Few heroes have suffered as many brutal attacks and defeats as Deadpool, but the character's bloodiest 'death' didn't come from a villain but instead from an elephant. Yes, the Merc with the Mouth's most disgusting defeat came at the hands of the animal, as a tusk impaled him. The gnarly scene didn't try to sugarcoat how graphic it was, as the antihero's insides were left hanging outside his body. The moment is likely too violent for Deadpool's future MCU appearances.
Deadpool is no stranger to suffering, as he's been on the receiving end of the most violent and twisted attacks any hero in the Marvel Comics universe has ever faced. Deadpool has had his head and limbs cut off, been squished like a tube of toothpaste, and been split in half. If there's a disgusting way to die, Wade Wilson has likely experienced it. Thanks to his healing factor, however, death isn't an obstacle. With the character coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it will be interesting to see how R-Rated the hero's movies and appearances will be. Although, it seems safe that his most gruesome 'death' won't appear in the MCU.
In Deadpool #2 by Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan, Tony Moore, Val Staples, and VC's Joe Sabino, Deadpool is tasked with taking down resurrected versions of the former Presidents of the United States. After tracking down Teddy Rosoovelt who decides to go big-game hunting at the Los Angeles Zoo, Deadpool is chased down by an angry elephant, who impales him with its tusk. The scene is violent, as Deadpool's intensines wrap around the animal's sharp tusk.
Seeing Deadpool's guts spillout of his body, as he pursues of the gone-mad former President of the United States makes for quite a hilarious moment. Deadpool ends up killing Rosoovelt by hitting him with a strong exlectrical charge, which also ends up burning the elephant alive. Deadpool successfully completes his task, but not until after suffering a blow that would have led to the death of pretty much any other Marvel hero.
While Deathpool's 'death' is hilarious, it's easy to see why it would never be adapted for the MCU. For starters, it's incredibly bloody, and it's unclear whether the Marvel Cinematic Universe will embrace Deadpool's R-rated nature. Secondly, hunting down presidents and burning an elephant alive both seem to cross a line the MCU would probably not like to cross. So, while Deadpool is destined to appear in the MCU some day soon, don't get your hopes up he'll be impaled violently by an elephant - unless his R-rated stories are surprisingly embraced in the typically watered down MCU.
