Samsung's new, matte 'The Frame' QLED 4K smart TV is already $200 off

The 4K smart TV that looks like art is back for 2022 (and more museum-worthy than ever).
Samsung announced last week that the latest version of The Frame will feature a new anti-reflective matte finish that reduces the effects of glare. According to its press release, this update "adds a unique texture to the art displayed on screen for an even more realistic visual experience than ever before."
Anyone who's thinking about adding one to their gallery wall will unfortunately have to wait a little longer: The new The Frame doesn't come out until mid-April, though it is already up for preorder at select retailers. We scrounged up the best deal at Woot, where the 43-inch model is on sale for only $799.99 as one of its April 5 deals of the day — that's $200 off its original retail price of $999.99. Not too bad for its first-ever discount.
Matte finish aside, the 2022 iteration of The Frame is otherwise very similar to the 2021 model. Its QLED display offers a billion hues at 100% Color Volume for crisp details (even at high brightness levels), and a built-in motion sensor turns it on or off depending on whether you're in the room. You can have it display your own pictures when it's in Art Mode by uploading images from your phone or a USB flash drive, or simply subscribe to Samsung's Art Store ($5/month) to take your pick from its library of over 1,400 pieces.
Note that Woot's deal on the 43-inch model is only available through midnight tonight or while supplies last, so grab one at that heavily discounted price while you still can.
