Doane Track and Field had the majority of their roster in action on Saturday as they competed at the Central Nebraska Challenge hosted by the University of Nebraska-Kearney. The Tigers won two events and posted six NAIA standard marks on the day.
Zach Turner (SO/Crete, Neb.) posted an NAIA provisional qualifying time in the 110m hurdles as he was clocked with a time of 14.72 seconds in a victory.
In field events, Matthew Campbell (SR/Ainsworth, Neb.) met the NAIA standard in three events. He hit an automatic qualifying mark in the hammer throw with a toss of 57.74m (189-05). He added provisional marks in the discus with a throw of 47.73m (156-07) and in the shot put with a mark of 15.59m (51-01.75).
Mason Krause (SR/Lyndon, Kan.) hit the NAIA automatic standard in the javelin with a throw of 57.64m (189-01).
On the women's side, Allison Skala (JR/North Platte, Neb.) hit an automatic national qualifying mark in the shot put with a throw of 13.79m (45-03.00).
Allie Binder (SR/Table Rock, Neb.) picked up a victory on the track, winning the 5,000m run with a time of 18:40.77.
