Pre-orders for the OnePlus 10 Pro are now live, and if you're itching to get your hands on the phone, a few pre-order deals help make the phone a lot more affordable. Affordability used to be a hallmark of OnePlus smartphones. The OnePlus One launched in 2014 with a premium design, flagship specs, and started at just $299. However, every new generation since has gradually upped the price more and more. The OnePlus 2 cost $329, the OnePlus 3 went up to $399, and last year's OnePlus 9 Pro cost a whopping $1069.
Thankfully, the OnePlus 10 Pro is a bit easier on the wallet. The phone is available in the U.S. for $899 and comes with all of the flagship specs you could ask for. There's a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 5000 mAh battery, 65W wired charging speeds, and a triple-camera system co-developed with Hasselblad. $899 isn't 'cheap,' but at $100 less than the iPhone 13 Pro and Galaxy S22+, the OnePlus 10 Pro is a solid value.
If you're interested in the OnePlus 10 Pro but can't fully justify the $899 MSRP, the good news is that there are numerous pre-order deals to help offset the cost. One of the best deals comes from OnePlus itself. Anyone who pre-orders the 10 Pro on OnePlus's website gets a free pair of OnePlus Buds Z2 with their purchase. The Buds Z2 normally retail for $79 and come with active noise canceling, 11mm drivers, IP55 dust/water resistance, and Google Fast Pair support. OnePlus's website also lets you trade in your old phone to get an instant credit off the 10 Pro, potentially lowering the price by hundreds of dollars.
If you don't need a free pair of earbuds, you may be better off with pre-order deals from Amazon or Best Buy. For its part, Amazon includes a free Echo Show 8 with any OnePlus 10 Pro pre-order. The Echo Show 8 is one of Amazon's better Alexa smart displays. It has an 8-inch HD display, 13MP camera for video calls, and surprisingly good speakers for such a compact device.
Best Buy's pre-order offer is great, too. Any Best Buy pre-orders of the OnePlus 10 Pro automatically come with a $100 gift card that you can use on a future Best Buy purchase. It's technically less valuable than the $130 retail price of the Echo Show 8, but if you don't need a smart display or wireless earbuds, getting a free $100 to spend however you want is fantastic.
If you want the free OnePlus Buds Z2, that promotion is only good between March 31 and April 13. Amazon and Best Buy pre-order deals are also available between those dates. What's interesting, however, is that those promotions will stick around even when regular sales begin on April 14. Just remember that deals like this are always subject to change. In other words, if you're dead-set on getting a OnePlus 10 Pro, you may want to order sooner rather than later so you don't miss out.
