New pictures of a movie theater display promoting Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reveal an up-close look at Scarlet Witch's new costume. MCU fans currently have Moon Knight over on Disney+ to enjoy, but the franchise's next big screen adventure is still just over a month away. After several delays, Doctor Strange 2 will finally debut in May, and it promises to thoroughly upend the MCU's current status quo. Benedict Cumberbatch returns to play Doctor Stephen Strange in his sixth onscreen outing. He'll be joined by Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, and Marvel newcomer Xochitl Gomez.
Doctor Strange 2 also features a prominent character in a supporting role: Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch. Fresh off her reality-shaking appearance on the Disney+ series WandaVision, Scarlet Witch will continue her arc in Multiverse of Madness, and fans have countless theories about her role. WandaVision seemed to hint that she could actually take on a villainous position as she continues to advance her chaos magic, and indeed, certain shots in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer seemed to support that. For now, though, all that's really known is that Stephen will turn to her for help with the multiverse when it begins to spiral out of control.
As is per usual with most Marvel heroes, Scarlet Witch will receive a new costume for her latest appearance. Fans have already gotten to see it in action through the various Doctor Strange 2 trailers, but a new display at the Regal L.A. Live Cinema in Los Angeles, California gives a closer look at the finer details. Pictures taken by KeaganUpstone were shared online by Scarlet Witch News, giving fans far from LA a chance to see Scarlet Witch's new look.

In some ways, Scarlet Witch's Doctor Strange 2 costume shares some similarities to her final WandaVision look, but it's like everything has been enhanced. She has longer sleeves now, and there are more details to the front of her suit. Her crown appears to be the same, though. Nevertheless, this Doctor Strange 2 costume indicates Wanda is more in tune with her position as the Scarlet Witch; as her power has grown, so has her clothes. Wanda's costume evolution over the course of her MCU arc has been very interesting to witness, particularly since it started out as her just wearing street clothes during the final battle in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Scarlet Witch will play a big role in Multiverse of Madness, and it will likely have a sizable impact on the rest of the MCU. It's been confirmed that she is the MCU's most powerful hero. That kind of might could be devastating if turned in a darker direction, but it remains to be seen if the MCU will truly go that way. Marvel is certainly keeping its cards close to the vest. Fans will have to wait and see for themselves when Doctor Strange 2 arrives in May.
