Editor’s Note: To celebrate the 50-year anniversary of Wei-Chuan U.S.A., New York fashion photographer Nicky Zeng sat down to tell us the story of how Wei-Chuan U.S.A. has become an integral part in people’s life through a 50-photo series featuring people and their favorite Wei-Chuan products.

 

For more than four decades, Wei-Chuan U.S.A. Inc. has brought convenience to our kitchen and a sense of familiarity for overseas Chinese and Asian communities. with the uniting comfort of good food.

From frozen food, dried food to different delicious sauces, Wei Chuan U.S.A. has provided a wide range of quality products like dumplings, buns and spring rolls that has transformed the cooking experience and became people’s first choice for generations.

2022 marks the food conglomerate’s 50-year anniversary, and Wei-Chuan U.S.A. is kicking off a series of fashionable, eye-catching but warm, nostalgic photographs to commemorate this moment. Dubbed “We share love; We share Wei-Chuan U.S.A.”, the photo series will consist of 50 different images that take place in 6 different cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, New York and Atlanta where Wei-Chuan U.S.A.‘s branches are located. Each photo will feature an individual with a different cultural background sharing their unique moment of Wei-Chuan.

When being asked about this collaboration, NYC Fashion photographer Nicky Zeng said, “When Wei-Chuan U.S.A. invited me for this photoshoot,

 I was absolutely thrilled. My family and I grew up on Wei-Chuan food products, and so shooting for them brought out a creative side of me that resonated with my childhood. I hope to be able to share my excitement with everyone through these pictures.”

The result was phenomenal, more than 50 people participated in the photoshoot and shared their unique story with Wei-Chuan.

“My grandma grew up during the great depression when there weren’t many convenient foods around, so she had to make everything from scratch. That’s why she really enjoys the convenience of frozen food and makes something taste amazing from a frozen package. So, any kind of Wei-Chuan dumplings or spring rolls make me think of my grandma, you can have that home flavor, in a quick and easy way,” said James, who was involved in the fashion shoot.

“We share love; We share Wei-Chuan U.S.A.” is just one of the campaigns from Wei-Chuan U.S.A.’s 50-year anniversary; there will be more exciting activities and launches throughout the year to celebrate this extraordinary milestone.
