A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy has died in hospital after he was savaged at a country cottage by one of three Rottweilers reportedly dubbed ‘The Beasts’ by locals.
Cops confirmed the tragic news today after horror unfolded on Monday in Egdon, Worcestershire.
The toddler’s family rushed him towards a hospital after he was fatally injured.
Paramedics then dashed to meet them instead at Worcester Countryside Centre.
The experts took the little one on to Worcestershire Royal Hospital in an ambulance.
But despite the efforts of doctors, the casualty succumbed to his injuries after fighting for life for two days.

Superintendent Rebecca Love of West Mercia Police said this afternoon that the boy had gone into cardiac arrest at the scene.
“We have been informed this morning that the young boy who was injured in an incident on Monday in Egdon, Worcestershire has sadly passed away,” she said.
“Officers responded to a report of a two-year-old child in cardiac arrest at approximately 11.20am on Monday, March 28.
“It was quickly established the child had suffered injuries as a result of being bitten by a dog at the address in Worcestershire.
“The child was transferred from Worcestershire Royal Hospital to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and despite medical treatment, he has died as a result of his injuries.
“This is a truly tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.
“Three dogs have been removed from the property and are currently being housed securely.
“I am unable to confirm the breed of the dogs at this time, but we do not believe they are banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
“An investigation continues, and I would ask for your respect for the family’s privacy at this very distressing time.”
After the toddler was attacked, locals said the dogs can sometimes be heard barking at the address.
“It’s all secluded so you don’t really see anyone. Everyone is kind of hidden away,” one said.
“I’ve seen the owners of that cottage before. They have Rottweilers.
“You can hear then barking from the fields.”
It comes a spate of horrific dog attacks across the UK during March.
A 17-month-old tot was killed in St Helens, Merseyside, by an “out-of-control” bull-terrier last Monday.
Emergency services rushed the toddler, 17-month-old Bella-Rae Birch, to hospital following the attack.
Despite the efforts of medics, she couldn’t be saved.
Her family are said to be “devastated” by her death and had only purchased the dog a week ago.
Another tot was mauled to death earlier this month at Ostler’s Plantation in Lincs.
Three-month-old Kyra Leanne King was killed during a night-time outing with her parents and their pet huskies in the woods.
A 40-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog which was out of control.
They have since been released under investigation.
And three people have been arrested after an eight-year-old boy was left with his “face hanging off” following an attack by an American bully XL at a home in Cannock, Staffordshire.
Leo Dawes endured six-and-a-half hours of surgery, while his younger sister Carys, six, suffered a serious injury to her arm.

The dog has not yet been traced.
