At the recent Senate hearing of Katanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court, the Republicans tried to portray Judge Jackson as coddler of child pornographers. They picked just a handful of her judgments out of 500 cases that were tried in her court. In the process, they made a mockery of the confirmation process.
