"The Lost City" stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum have such a wholesome friendship. The costars appeared on "The Late Late Show With James Corden" on Wednesday night to discuss the movie, their friendship, and the crazy way they met. Bullock told Corden she and Tatum are "full-on besties" and he later told the host they've bonded because "we're both very stupid."
But prior to filming "The Lost City" together, the actors had a rocky past. Bullock shared that she met the "Magic Mike" star in the principal's office of their children's preschool. The "Miss Congeniality" star is mom to daughter Laila and Tatum shares daughter Everly with his ex-wife Jenna Dewan.
"We have two very, very strong-willed little girls that at that young age were very much butting heads," Tatum said, revealing that the two would often get called into the principal's office because of arguments. As a way to ease their tension, Bullock shared that administrators gave the girls a challenge to see "who can be the nicest to the other one" since they are both competitive.
In "The Lost City," Bullock plays romance author Loretta Sage and Tatum plays Alan, her cover model. Loretta is kidnapped by a greedy businessman, Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe), who after reading her novel "The Lost City," wanted her to help him find a secret island treasure. In an effort to prove himself as more than eye-candy, Alan attempts to save Loretta, who wants nothing to do with him. "The Lost City" premieres in theaters on March 25.
