AFC Fylde is delighted to announce the loan signing of striker Douglas Taylor from Championship side Stoke City until the end of the National League North season.
Despite an offer from a club in the top three of the National League and an offer from a fellow National League North club, Taylor opted to join the Coasters.
Douglas arrives at Mill Farm in a bid to aid his development further and gain experience within a competitive first-team environment, also providing an extra boost to James Rowe and his side ahead of the final nine games of the season and potential play-off campaign.
Taylor signed for the Potters in 2020 after impressing during his time at Salford City, where he enjoyed a prolific spell in their U18s side, which led to Stoke signing the youngster for their U23s setup.
Described as a striker with pace, good finishing, skill and the ability to hold the ball up, he scored a memorable seven-minute hat-trick for City against Southend in the U23s Premier League Cup last year.
Welcome to AFC Fylde, Douglas!
