In reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, external affairs minister S Jaishankar underlined that India has called for humanitarian access and was providing material assistance to those in the war zone. Jose K Mani (KC-M) had asked a starred question on India's decision to abstain from voting in the UN and whether it was making any effort to end the conflict amicably. Replying to supplementary questions, Jaishankar said India's position was based on six principles.
