Emmerdale fans distracted by blunder as Marlon Dingle suffers a devastating stroke
EMMERDALE viewers are distracted after realising the Dingle family made a major blunder after Marlon’s stroke.
The chef – who is played by actor Mark Charnock in the ITV soap – suffered a stroke earlier this week.
And while the family have rallied around to try and support his family – they forgot to tell one important person – his brother Eli.
One fan wrote: “Have they all forgotten about Eli?”
It comes after Paddy Dingle walked out and left Marlon Dingle alone after he came to from his operation.
The vet – who is played by actor Dominic Brunt in the ITV soap – was consumed by his own guilt over his friend’s condition and failed to support him.
After spending the entire episode finding any and every reason no to visit Marlon in the hospital, Paddy was finally forced to by Mandy.
But when he got there and found Marlon still asleep, he began crying and talking to his best pal.
“I am utterly terrified,” he told him making it all about himself.
“I thought I’d walk in here and you’d know who I was but in your head you’d be screaming for help like someone drowning and I’d be stood on the shore waving like a flipping idiot.
“Or even worse I’d be here and you’d have absolutely no idea who I was. Will you just come back to me, please? I can’t cope.”
But as Paddy spoke, Marlon’s eyes opened – but Paddy’s reaction left a lot to be desired.
“You’re awake!” he said before immediately jumping into a million questions Marlon had no chance of answering.
“Can you hear me? Can you speak? Marlon if you know who I am just blink twice. Marlon?” he said.
With Marlon’s condition meaning he couldn’t answer but Paddy’s words took a dark turn.
“Are you even you anymore?” he said to no response from Marlon.
“Right. I’ll go and get someone and let them know you’ve come round. I’ll be straight back.”
However after briefly telling a nurse Marlon was awake, Paddy walked out of the hospital leaving his friend alone.
Viewers were horrified with how he has behaved.
