Grade II listed home on market for just £35,000 – but it comes with a spooky catch
A GRADE-II listed home could be yours for just £35,000 – but it comes with a spooky secret.
The property in Caynham, Shropshire, is a former Methodist church with its own GRAVEYARD, and it dates back to 1836.
It comes complete with a pulpit, a piano and several pews – which all sit below huge, south-facing arched windows.
And just outside, a fully-fledged burial ground with stone gravestones can be found.
The unusual property – perfect for an ambitious developer – is going up for auction on April 29, Birmingham Live reports.
The listing says: “A substantial and well maintained former Methodist church in a rural hamlet setting with direct road access and comprising a detached brick building standing in a plot of land including a small burial ground.
“The property is a detached building which fronts a public highway in the popular hamlet of Caynham.
“This modest church is a Grade II listed building and is believed to have been constructed in 1836, principally of brick under a pitched slate roof with two point arch windows to the south and a smaller raised archway to the gable.”
