The 66-year-old Thelma & Louise star has abruptly left the upcoming CBS untitled mother and son legal drama pilot from Scott Prendergast, Deadline reported.

She was set to star opposite Skylar Astin. And according to the report, she left after production on the pilot had already begun. There are no reports about the reasoning why yet.
Marcia Gay Harden is currently in talks to replace her in the role.
“I hear the pilot had a table read at the top of last week and had filmed for a couple of days when Davis departed earlier this week. Production has been paused for a few days until a new female lead is locked in,” Deadline reported.
The untitled mother-son drama follows Todd (Astin), a talented but directionless P.I. who is the black sheep of his family. Despite their opposing personalities, he agrees to work as the in-house investigator for his overbearing mother, Joan — the role that is being recast — a successful attorney reeling from the recent dissolution of her marriage.
