I’m 38 and male and speak fluent French. A local friend asked if I could tutor his wife, 40, who needs to speak the language for her new job.
After a year of lessons, she’s improved a lot. But she is lazy and difficult to teach.
When I told her she needed to practise more, she took offence and didn’t turn up for her scheduled lesson.
