Tottenham forwards Harry Kane and Heung-min Son impressed as Antonio Conte’s side strengthened their top-four hopes with a 3-1 London derby win over West Ham.
Kane had a hand in all three Tottenham goals, while Son registered his 13th and 14th strikes of the campaign. The north London outfit made it 16 Premier League wins – putting them just three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
Tottenham took the lead with just nine minutes on the clock. Matt Doherty won the ball in a decent position before giving it to Kane. He raced into the penalty area and crossed for Son. Kurt Zouma slid in to block but saw his touch beat goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.
Son then hit the post, but the South Korea international managed to get on the scoresheet in the 24th minute. Kane picked out his strike partner with a great through ball, and Son found space in the box before firing over Fabianski on his left foot.
Kane and Son were causing the Irons all sorts of problems, although David Moyes’ side were not completely out of the match.
Aaron Cresswell swung in a corner and Craig Dawson flicked on to the back post. That allowed Said Benrahma, who was left unmarked, to finish with a clever first-time volley.

In the second half, Rodrigo Bentancur won the ball from Benrahma to send Tottenham on the attack, although the winger protested for a free-kick.
Son ran at West Ham’s defenders before playing in Kane, but the England striker was denied by Fabianski from a tight angle.
The London derby began to flare up, and Michail Antonio should have done better when connecting with a Cresswell cross in the 56th minute. He failed to trouble Hugo Lloris and sent his effort way over.
That was Antonio’s last touch as he was replaced by the in-form Andriy Yarmolenko in attack. Moyes also brought on Pablo Fornals in place of Arthur Masuaku.
Sergio Reguilon was sent through on goal by Kane in the 76th minute. The full-back ran out of legs though and couldn’t fire past Fabianski at his near post.
Kane had a chance of his own soon afterwards after being picked out by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The striker took it down well but sent his effort narrowly off target.
The win was secured late on when Kane flicked on a Lloris clearance, sending Son through. He finished calmly to ensure all three points remained in the north of the capital.
