Shocking moment Audi driver ploughs into back of a learner in VW before fleeing scene
THIS is the moment a reckless motorist smashed into a LEARNER driver before fleeing the scene.
Emergency services rushed to the horrifying town centre crash in Stourbridge, West Midlands, last night.
CCTV cameras captured the speeding Audi slamming into the back of a stationary red VW as it indicated to turn right.
The force of the impact sent the learner driver spinning into a van while the Audi ploughed into a fence.
Members of the public rushed to help as the male driver of the Audi fled.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “The driver of one vehicle fled the scene.”
A woman was taken to hospital with injuries but they are not thought to be serious.
One witness, who did not want to to be named, said: “The little red car had done nothing wrong, they were just indicating to turn.
“The Audi driver then came flying over the bridge and tried to brake but by then it was too late.

“He just smashed into the back of the other car.”
The anonymous witness said pedestrians tried to chase the driver of the Audi as he legged it, but they didn’t catch him.
The witness added: “It’s incredible nobody was badly hurt, it could have been a lot worse.
“Both cars were a right mess.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service were called at 6.15pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars.

A spokesperson said: “Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a Critical Care Car from Midlands Air Ambulance attended the scene.”
The ambulance service treated a man at the scene, who was then sent to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment.
