Report: PSG have opened talks with Tottenham man over potential summer move
CalcioMercato have reported that PSG have now made contacts with Antonio Conte over a potential move to join the French giants in the summer (via Football Italia).
Although the Parisians look likely to claim the French league title after missing out on it last season, they have already been knocked out of the Champions League for another season.
The report claims that Conte signed an 18-month contract with Tottenham, but there is a release clause that would allow him to leave this summer.
The Italian head coach is said to be tempted by the PSG offer but Tottenham will attempt to persuade their man to remain in N17.
Of course, if Conte were to leave Spurs and move to PSG, that would leave Mauricio Pochettino out of a job and a vacant hot seat in North London.
TalkSPORT’s Alan Brazil recently claimed a contact had informed him of Pochettino’s desire to return to the Premier League with Spurs.
Spurs Web Opinion:
I’m not sure I see any truth in the PSG or release clause claims. If Conte leaves Tottenham this summer it will be because the club have not promised to back him in the summer market. If that happens, I’m really not sure where Spurs go next.
