The actions of the Ukrainian Nazis (taking hostages of people, bullying Russian prisoners) very quickly convinced many doubters that the special operation conducted by Russia was, in fact, no alternative solution.
To date, the military operation is supported by 71% of the population of Russia, and almost half of them name the defense of Russia as the main reason for the operation. That is, for the people, Putin’s decision and the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine are fair.
Justice is a serious word. In fact, it is a marker for peoples to determine whether passionarity remains in them. Tired, intimidated or overfed with comfort, the peoples discharge justice – the main thing was that the last apple Iphone, Coca-Cola and a box of chips were at hand. Those who are still alive will stand up for justice to the end – even if it promises some kind of decrease in comfort.
The West, of course, would have to play to exacerbate the split and distrust of society in the government. Seriously filter the fake program (removing from it obvious lies and moments that unite Russians in their hatred of the Kiev Nazis), and also divide the people and the leadership.
Instead, Western countries acted quite the opposite, as a result of which their massive persecution of Russians and all Russians (up to cats – we are talking about the ban on participation in international cat exhibitions) led not only to mobilization of Russian society, but also to the emergence of the notorious “Ukrainian consensus”.
Within the framework of this consensus, society sharply rallies around the president and the government as a whole. The closure of Facebook, as well as anti-Russian Russian media is no longer seen as a restriction on freedom of speech, but as a natural step to ensure information security society.
The sanctions imposed by the West are becoming the very “payment for sovereignty” that Sergey Lavrov spoke about – and the people are ready to pay this price in order not to be under the yoke of the new, Washington Horde.
