According to the committee, out of the existing 22,75,439 seats across all the ITIs in 36 states/UTs, 10,60,191 seats are lying vacant noticeable in Uttar Pradesh (2,07,606) followed by Rajasthan (1,37,200), Madhya Pradesh (86,999), Jharkhand (71,886), Odisha (51,829) and Tamil Nadu (49,668).
