THE popular detective drama Unforgotten will return to ITV for a fifth series.
ITV have confirmed Nicola Walker’s replacement along with some new faces. Here is the cast for season five.
Hayley Catherine Rose Vivien Mills is a 75-year-old English actress.
She won the Bafta award for Most Promising Newcomer for her performance in the British crime drama film Tiger Bay (1959).
She is best known for best known for Pollyanna and The Parent Trap.

Jordan Long is a 48-year-old actor and voice-over artist.
He is best known for Prime Suspect 1973 (2017), Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014), The Wrong Mans (2013), and Stardust (2007).
In 2005 he was nominated for the Perrier Comedy Award as a member of The Dutch Elm Conservatoire.
Carolina Main is an English actress from South West London.
She is best known for Unforgotten and the Virgin Media drama series Blood.
Georgia Mackenzie is a 48-year-old British actress.
She is best known for Steel Trap (2007), A Touch of Frost (1992) and Franklyn (2008).
Her most notable role was as Sarah Beckenham in the BBC’s BAFTA nominated series Outlaws.
Michelle Bonnard is a 41-year-old English actress and screenwriter.
She is best known for Five Days (2007), The Fear (2012) and Stand Still (2019).
She made her acting debut in 2005 playing Helena in the BBC’s adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, called ShakespeaRe-Told.
Pippa Nixon is a 42-year-old English actress.
In 2011, she was commended in the Ian Charleson Awards for her portrayal of Jessica in The Merchant of Venice.
She is best known for John Carter (2012), Containment (2015) and Unforgotten (2015).
Sanjeev Bhaskar OBE is a 42-year-old British actor, comedian and television presenter.
He is best known for Yesterday (2019), The Kumars at No. 42 (2001) and Absolutely Anything (2015).
He was listed as one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy in The Observer in 2003.
Sinéad Keenan will be taking over from Nicola Walker to play DCI Jessica James.
She is a 44-year-old Irish actress with a wide range of television, film and stage credits.
She is best known for Little Boy Blue (2017), Doctor Who (2005) and Being Human (2008)

Sadly, Nicola Walker won’t be back after her character DCI Cassie Stuart was killed off in a car accident at the end of series four.
In an interview with TV Insider, she opened up about how it was planned to kill off her character since season three.
“We talked a lot after Season 3 about where it was going to go, and it was a joint decision. I think the clues were there in Season 3,” she revealed.
“The title of the show is Unforgotten and I think there’s a great deal of narrative beauty to this woman. She’s not going to be forgotten. I felt like she was quietly very unusual on television because she was a real person.”
ITV released a statement after the show aired in the UK saying: “We would like to thank Nicola Walker for playing the brilliant role of Cassie Stuart in four series of Unforgotten which has become one of the best-loved and most critically acclaimed police dramas on TV.
“Nicola and writer Chris Lang decided that Cassie’s story would come to an end last night, but that Unforgotten would continue, in series 5, with a new case, and a new ‘Partner in Crime’ for DI Sunny Khan.”

Filming for the show starts late March 2022, which would mean that it won’t be broadcasted any time soon on ITV.
Hopefully it will make it to screen either by the end of 2022 or by early 2023.
