Thora Birch Was Asked To Return as Dani in 'Hocus Pocus 2' (Report)
When the sequel to Hocus Pocus was originally announced, there was a rumor that in addition to Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker, another original star might return for it.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Thora was asked by Disney to return as a grown up Dani in the sequel movie, which just wrapped production earlier this year.
A source revealed that Thora had to ultimately decline the invite because of scheduling conflicts.
Thora‘s Dani was said to be a “good supporting role”. However, her obligations to Netflix’s Addams Family-inspired series Wednesday prevented her from joining the production schedule.
The insider added that if Thora would’ve returned, Dani would be helping the three modern-day teens (Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, and Belissa Escobedo) with their attempts to halt the Sanderson Sisters’ plot for revenge following their resurrection from the dead to terrorize Salem 29 years after the events of the first film.
