A MAN has been left mortified after he got a terrible tattoo from his drunk friend.
The man, who posts under the username “thestringedcheese” shared the photo on Reddit along with exactly how it happened.
In a comment he revealed that when his friend had inked him “there was a lot of alcohol involved”.
He admitted that he didn’t even “remember the thought process behind it”.
The redditor then defended his friend’s artistic ability, claiming that he actually is an artist who boasts a “good portfolio”.
He said: “I wouldn’t say that he’s a bad artist, in fact he’s got a pretty good portfolio. this? This is not part of that.
“It was a stupid decision I made years ago and sadly I have to live with the consequences of it.
“I’m currently in the process of figuring out a cover up option, kinda hard since there is so much heavy black.
“Also he liked it afterwards but I haven’t seen him since.”
Many redditors were quick to crack out jokes after seeing the terrible tattoo.
“It’s like it’s been done by a 2B pencil,” one said.
Another user quipped: “There’s potential in this though…like cut the arm off and throw it away potential.”
“This looks like when I start drawing lines on a piece of paper, thinking it’ll turn into a beautiful masterpiece, but It just ends up looking like a bunch of triangles,” joked a third.
However, other social media users were supportive and offered solutions on how to fix the dodgy body art.
One user advised: “May be a p*** poor tattoo, but a great and credible artist could not only fix that but take what’s there and make it pretty cool.
“Would be limited obviously by designs and shape but you could still go abstract, biomech, color or stick to shadings.”
“The black was put in so poorly that this could be covered very easily,” another said.
