NEWCASTLE have been handed a transfer boost as Juventus make it ‘priority’ to sell Adrien Rabiot, according to reports.
It was widely-understood that Newcastle were interested in Rabiot, 26, during the January transfer window.
Adrien Rabiot is coming to his last days at Juventus, according to reports[/caption]And now Italian outlet Calciomercato say that the Frenchman is in the ‘shadow of mediocrity’ at the Turin club.
Supposedly, Juventus are looking to get rid of his £110k-a-week salary when the season is over.
Boss Max Allegri has faith in Rabiot but some fans are becoming frustrated.
He has made 34 appearances for the ‘Old Lady’ this season but is yet to score.
The 26-year-old France international moved to Italy from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019.
He arrived on a free transfer and remains under contract until 2023.
That means Juve could decide to cash in this summer if he fails to agree to an extension.
But whether or not Newcastle will go for him again remains to be seen, as the Toon will continue to build on a very positive January transfer window.
