Screen Rant has exclusive clips from two mini-movies featuring Nick Kroll and Eric André included in the upcoming DVD release of Sing 2. The sequel once again focuses on opportunistic koala Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), who, this time around, takes his familiar talented performers to Las Vegas-inspired Redshore City after a talent scout (Chelsea Peretti) tells him they don’t have what it takes to make it. As expected, their road to success doesn’t come without some bumps and turns. Sing 2 features an all-star voice cast, including Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, and Nick Offerman, reprising their roles from the first film, as well as new characters voiced by Bobby Cannavale, Spike Jonze, Pharrell Williams, Halsey, and Adam Buxton.
Like the original, Sing 2 is full of hit pop songs, from artists like Billie Eilish, Elton John, The Weeknd, Eminem, and Prince, to name a few. It's also notable for featuring U2 frontman Bono, who portrays reclusive rockstar Clay Calloway. Sing 2 had a strong showing at the holiday box office, coming in second behind the juggernaut that was Spider-Man: No Way Home and beating the highly anticipated The Matrix Resurrections. Sing 2 was released on VOD less than three weeks after its December 22 release, likely due to the Omicron coronavirus variant that was threatening to keep families out of theaters. The gamble was a success for the studio, as it earned $360.8 million at the global box office.
The first exclusive Sing 2 clip is from the mini-movie For Gunter’s Eyes Only, in which Johnny (Egerton) and Gunter (Kroll) attend a hypnotist show in Redshore City where Gunter is hypnotized and believes he is a 007 type spy.
The second clip, from the mini-movie Animal Attraction, has Darius (André) messing up his commercial shoot while anxiously waiting for the results from a recent audition.
In addition to the mini-movies, the Sing 2 4K UHD, Blu-rayTM, DVD, and digital release is loaded with bonus features. Here is the full list of extras:
