The Liurnia of the Lakes Divine Tower in Elden Ring won't be accessible until a quest is completed for Ranni the Witch. This NPC can be found in the Three Sisters subregion of Caria Manor in the northern part of Liurnia. In order to gain access to the Divine Tower of Liurnia, players will need to find Ranni's Rise in the Three Sisters subregion and speak to the NPC to begin her quest.
The Divine Towers in Elden Ring are special areas associated with specific gods or demi-gods. The Divine Towers can restore Great Runes, and the one at Liurnia of the Lakes can restore the Cursemark of Death. The Cursemark of Death can be found on a dead body at the top of the Liurnia of the Lakes Divine Tower. Along with restoring Great Runes, there are plenty of enemies to fight and valuable loot to find within any Divine Tower. The Liurnia of the Lakes Divine Tower requires progression through Ranni's questline to unlock it.
To speak to Ranni the Witch in Elden Ring, players will need to complete Caria Manor, then visit her in Ranni's Rise. Ranni asks for the lost treasure of Nokron to be recovered, and for Blaidd, Iji, and Seluvis to be spoken to on her behalf. These three NPCs can be found on the way out of Ranni's Rise. From there, Ranni's questline will involve some traveling back and forth to speak to various NPCs and gather information about the Eternal City of Nokron.
To complete Ranni's questline in Elden Ring, players will need to defeat Starscourge Radahn in Redmane Castle and gain access to Nokron. In the Eternal City of Nokron, players can find the Fingerslayer Blade. After obtaining the Fingerslayer Blade, players can return to Ranni and give her the lost treasure she was looking for, then she will hand over the Inverted Carian Statue. There is more to completing Ranni's questline, but players don't need to progress any further to access the Liurnia of the Lakes Divine Tower.
With the Inverted Carian Statue in hand, Elden Ring players can head to Carian Study Hall located at the other end of the bridge leading to the Divine Tower. Once inside, players can place the Inverted Carian Statue onto the pedestal, and the whole area will turn upside down. There will be a few platforming challenges to complete to reach the middle of Carian Study Hall. At the center, there's an elevator that leads to the Liurnia of the Lakes Divine Tower.
Players can take the elevator down and head through the double doors to reach the bridge leading to the Liurnia of the Lakes Divine Tower. A Godskin Noble is waiting on the bridge, so players will either need to fight or run to get past it. Regardless of whether or not this Elden Ring enemy is killed, players can reach the other side of the bridge where there's another elevator. The elevator will stop at the top of the Liurnia of the Lakes Divine Tower in Elden Ring, then players can explore the tower.
Elden Ring is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
