The Masked Singer released a new teaser for season 7, revealing that one contestant may face an injury and require help from the paramedics.
The Masked Singer season 7 premiere is so close, and the show continues to tease the premiere with a new clip revealing that one contestant may require medical attention. Throughout the weeks leading up to the season premiere, Fox has been teasing costumes, performances, guest judges, and exclusive clues to get fans excited for the new season of the show. The season's new format features three groups, the good, the bad, and the cuddly, who will compete against each other for the masked trophy. Some of the elaborate costumes include Space Bunny, Jack In The Box, and Hydra–a three-headed monster likely hiding more than one famous performer.
Fox also revealed that the season will invite three guest panelists. Each season, The Masked Singer has had a few guests join panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger to help them unveil the identity of the celebrities behind the costumes. In the past, the show has had recurring guest Joel McHale along with stars like Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am and actor Will Arnett. For their new season, they've invited Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet as well as former guest panelist Leslie Jordan and newcomer Nicole Byer to bring their best guesses to the table.
According to a new The Masked Singer teaser, this season will bring a lot of surprises to the show. The Masked Singer shared a clip to Twitter that reveals one performer may face an injury on stage that requires some help from paramedics. In the teaser, the panelists look distressed as something is seemingly happening on stage that the teaser has cut out. Ken can be seen fleeing his panelist seat and running towards the stage to help the performer. "Get a medic right now," Ken yells with Nicole repeating, "Now!" The Masked Singer season 7 injury also would not be the first, as Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams revealed after her unmasking that during rehearsals, she suffered an electric shock during a short circuit from the smoke machine.
While the teaser doesn't let fans in on what happens to the performer or which costume requires medical attention, there are plenty of reasons why someone might be injured on the show. The Masked Singer is known for its extravagant performances, which often include pyrotechnics, intense choreography, and stage lifts. During season 1, Peacock, who was later revealed to be 70s singer Donny Osmond, performed OneRepublic's "Counting Stars" while levitating above the stage and slowly being lowered back down.
The new teaser reveals that fans really never know what's coming when it comes to The Masked Singer. Each season the show outdoes its last by shocking fans with surprising celebrity reveals and other unexpected moments. Season 7 is proving to be no different. While the teaser has drawn in fan attention, hopefully, whoever did get hurt is okay and didn't suffer any severe injuries.
The Masked Singer premieres March 9 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
