MCDONALD’S fans bagged hundreds of pounds worth of free food after an Uber Eats glitch gave them extra money off.
The voucher code was supposed to give customers 30% off their bill, but instead cut some orders by £30.
McDonald’s fans took to social media to share the code[/caption] The £30 off discount code only worked for some customers[/caption]Fast food fans were able to get huge McDonald’s orders by only paying a few pounds for delivery.
The glitch was live for a short period of time last night, Uber Eats confirmed.
It was redeemed by a small number of customers, who won’t have to pay the money back.
One customer posted their order on TikTok, including apple pies, chocolate brownies, McFlurries, a Filet-O-Fish and fish finger Happy Meals.
It also included a wrap of the day, mozerella dippers sharebox and two portions of fries.
In total, the bargain hunter only paid £4 for the whole order.
Others took to Twitter and Facebook to share the code with friends, and tell others about their savings.
One mum said: “I ordered £21 worth of McDonald’s and only cost me £4. Very happy kids as I let them get more than normal.”
“We just had this too, spent £5.06 instead of £31.67 never been so happy,” someone else added.
“Dinner and dessert for a family [of] four for £5 something, to cover delivery.”
Another customer said: “Had an amazing feast and all for free!”
The Sun has contacted McDonald’s for comment.
It’s not the first time shoppers have nabbed a huge discount using a delivery service.
In December, customers were able to get thousands of pounds worth of free booze through the Gorillas grocery app.
We spoke to a glitch hunter, whose best bargain was a pair of Adidas trainers reduced by 90%.
But retailers don’t have to honour orders processed by mistake.
For example, last year Aldi cancelled deliveries of an air fryer that was accidently reduced from £48 to £4.
