SAN JOSE — Police are investigating a traffic collision that occurred Monday night, in which a pedestrian was hit by a driver and taken to a hospital, according to authorities.
The crash was reported at about 5:55 p.m. in the intersection of Capitol Expressway and Story Road, according to the San Jose Police Department. A pedestrian with life-threatening injuries was taken to a local hospital and later stabilized.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said. It’s unknown if the pedestrian was inside a crosswalk during the crash, according to authorities.
More details on the circumstance of the crash were not immediately available.
