Keeping Up With the Kardashians ran for a whopping twenty seasons. Since 2007, fans have learned a lot about the family and watched them grow from retail employees to mega-millionaires. Aside from their careers, fans have been fascinated by the large family dynamic. However, it all came to an end in the summer of 2021.
In 2020 (before KUWTK ended), it was announced that the family was moving to Hulu for a new show, The Kardashians. Considering that the teasers look incredibly similar to KUWTK, fans are wondering what the main differences are between shows.
In December 2020, it was announced that when KUWTK ended, the family would be moving from the E! network over to Hulu for a multi-year reality series called The Kardashians.
According to the show's Instagram page, the new series is coming to Hulu on April 14th. The caption also said, "And coming soon to Disney+ internationally and Star+ in Latin America." Being on a streaming service will make their show and lives more accessible to fans across the world.
After watching Kourtney Kardashian's rollercoaster of a relationship with Scott Disick play out on KUWTK, fans were excited to see her find love again with Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker.
It is an unpopular opinion in the KUTWK world to want Kourtney with anyone else but Scott, but after seeing how happy she has been with Travis, fans are thrilled for her new chapter. Thanks to teasers for The Kardashians, it looks like fans get to see Travis and Kourtney's relationship, engagement, and possible wedding planning.
Some of the saddest moments in KUWTK involved Scott Disick's ups and downs with the family. As the father of Kourtney's children, he is an important member of the family, and fans grew to love the man he became.
Because of Kourtney's new relationship with Travis, fans were wondering if Scott would be included in The Kardashians. According to Elle, Kim Kardashian responded to a comment on Instagram, writing, "But @ScottDisick is coming with us to Hulu sooooooo I get it BUT he will be back!!!![sic]” This means Scott will be a part of the new series.

In an interview with WSJ Magazine, Kim said The Kardashians will show a "different side" of them. "I think it will be a different side. But I wouldn't say that our silly sides are not going to come out," Kim continued saying.
Since KUWTK ended, Kim Kardashian has had a lot of life changes. She is divorcing her husband and the father of her children, Kanye West, and she is continuing her law school journey in hopes of one day becoming a lawyer.
Along with law school, being a mother, and running multiple businesses, Kim is newly dating SNL star Pete Davidson as well. With so many changes, fans cannot wait to see how Kim has adjusted in The Kardashians.
Rob Kardashian has his highs and lows shown over the years on KUWTK. At the start of the series, he was involved with his sisters' lives and did not mind being on camera, but as life changed for him, he slowly stopped being on camera.
One of the only reasons Rob started appearing on KUWTK again was when he started a relationship with Blac Chyna. As that relationship died, Rob–once again—stopped appearing on-camera regularly, and it looks like he will not be a part of the Hulu series. A source told E!, "Rob is not planning to have any participation in the new Hulu show, but he feels he's in a great headspace right now." They continued saying, "He truly needed some time away and to himself to get his mindset straight and is now living a very healthy lifestyle."
The Kardashians is a new journey for the family. Although fans love to watch and rewatch scenes from KUWTK, it looks like Hulu's series is going to be just as juicy.
According to BuzzFeed News, Kris Jenner views The Kardashians as "the next chapter." She said, "The fans will love seeing us continue the journey. I can’t say much about what’s coming but spoiler, we’re going to look fabulous and everyone’s going to watch." Fans are excited to see the next parts of their journeys unfold.
Fans suspected Kylie Jenner was pregnant again when she stopped posting full-body shots on social media and recycled older photos. She then announced she was pregnant on Instagram in a sweet video with her family.
With the series premiering in Apil, it is assumed that most of Kylie's pregnancy was shown on camera since she gave birth in February 2022. Additionally, the teaser for the series and all of the promotional photos show Kylie pregnant as well.
With twenty seasons of KUWTK under their belt, the family was understandably tired from being in front of the camera for all of those years. After ending in 2021, this is the longest viewers have gone without seeing new televised content of the family, but it was apparently just what they needed.
According to Us Weekly, Kourtney Kardashian told Bustle, "Having the break shifted the mindset with my sisters. When you’re doing that [show] every single day, you don’t have the space to take a break and be like, ‘Wait, we actually love each other.’” She went on to say that The Kardashians is a "restart" for many of them.
