KATIE Price’s fans were left in tears this evening as they watched Harvey move into his own accommodation for the first time.
The 19-year-old is now living full time at the residential National Star college in Cheltenham – leaving his mum and family behind.
His emotional journey has been documented in the new programme What Harvey Did Next, which has been praised by viewers for being an opening look at the lives of young adults living with disabilities.
After Katie dropped him off those watching at home took to Twitter to discuss how brave he is.
One person wrote: “F**k I’m crying . Harvey you’re such a brave guy! #whatharveydidnext.”
Another viewer commented: “Choked for both of them.”
While someone else tweeted: “Looks like i’m going to cry for the next hour Love him so much ”
Others remarked on how important it is to share his story, with one writing: “Loving #whatharveydidnext – an eye opening exploration of the challenges of becoming independent for Harvey Price.”
A further person remarked: “Absolutely love #WhatHarveyDidNext. This is the experience of families across the country caring for teens with complex needs, transitioning to adulthood. Rarely seen by a mainstream audience There is incredible support available, from the likes of @sensecharity.”
Harvey was born with Prader-Willi syndrome – he is also partially blind and on the autistic spectrum.
His journey to finding a college was documented alongside Katie in BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey and Me, which went on to be nominated for a National Television Award.
