The Afterparty Season 2 Renewal Confirmed, Tiffany Haddish Returning
AppleTV+ has renewed The Afterparty season 2 for another mystery with star Tiffany Haddish confirmed to return. Released in January of this year, The Afterparty is a genre-bending dark comedy that centers around a whodunnit mystery murder scenario. Along with Haddish, the ensemble cast features some of the biggest and up-and-coming names in comedy such as Dave Franco, Ben Schwartz, and Ilana Glazer. The Afterparty has received positive reviews from critics over its first season run.
Now, AppleTV+ has announced just days before The Afterparty season 1 finale is set to release, that the show will be returning for season 2. Haddish is the only major name confirmed to be reprising her role for The Afterparty season 2 as of yet. It is expected that the show's creators Chris Miller and Phil Lord will remain attached, although no official announcement has been made.
No word as of now on who else plans to return out of the robust cast. With the recent explosion in the popularity of murder mysteries, The Afterparty offers a fresh take on the sub-genre.
