I asked the hairdresser for basic ombre…what I ended up with was NOTHING like the picture
FROM a wonky fringe to dodgy DIY colour, we’ve all had our fair share of hair horror stories.
But when you pay to have your locks looked after by a professional, you expect to walk out feeling and looking like a million dollars.
However, that was far from the case for US-based Kylie Follmar, who took to TikTok and penned: “Oh do I have a story for you.”
“Long story short, back in 2013, ombre was like this big trend and I needed to hop on it.”
“I never had my hair dyed before or anything, so naturally I’m strawberry blonde and I wanted an ombre down to blonde.”
She then went on to show a few snaps of the ombre style she was after.

“I kind of wanted the strawberry blonde to go blonde to blonde – obviously,” Kylie continued.
“I should’ve known I’d messed up immediately when she told me I was only the second client she’d ever done this on…and when she started staggering little elastic ponytails to divide the hair to dye.”
Kylie then shared a photo of the disastrous do she was left with, which featured a bold line separating her natural locks from her newly dyed blonde hair.

“This is what I got…very blended, very beautiful, very beachy blonde. Not at all!” she sarcastically said. “Not what I wanted at all.”
She then went on to post an image of her newly dyed hair curled, and quipped: “It still doesn’t look any better at all.”
And Kylie wasn’t the only one horrified by her hair do.
“I’m crying,” wrote one, while a second penned: “Oh my god.”
A third added: “Oh lord,” while a fourth sympathised: “GIRLLLL SAMEEEE THING HAPPENED TO ME.”
