FORT WAYNE, Ind. - (COMPLETE HONORS) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) released the conference honors for men's hockey. First and second team All-Conference was announced with six players on each team, including the individual award winners.
Abel Christians of Concordia was selected as Player of the Year after he scored 10 goals and had 24 assists. Anthony Seykora of Conordia picked up Newcomer of the Year after recording 455 in net for the Cardinals.
Head coaches voted Jordan Permoda of Aquinas as Coach of the Year. Permoda was also named Champions of Character Coach.
In addition to All-Conference awards, the WHAC also released its All-Academic and Champions of Character honrs. The All-Academic Team consists of juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA who have been in attendance at their school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team is comprised of one player from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
